The minor in Fintech, offered by the Scheller College of Business and the College of Computing, provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the intersection of finance and technology.
Through a blend of coursework from both disciplines, students gain expertise in financial concepts such as investments, risk management, and financial modeling, alongside proficiency in AI and machine learning techniques that are essential for modern financial applications. This interdisciplinary approach equips students with the skills needed to navigate the rapidly evolving landscape of financial technology, preparing them for careers in areas such as algorithmic trading; digital banking; Blockchain and DeFi applications; and financial data analysis.
The Scheller College is home to the FinTech Minor, and it is open to all students at Georgia Tech. Electives courses can count towards the minor. For more information about GT policies on minors, please refer to the Catalog Minor guidelines.
Students will be able to declare this minor starting Summer 2024.
