Accounting is the communication of financial and non-financial information that measures operational success and failure for a firm and is utilized as a guide to make effective business decisions.
Some accounting courses will help you prepare for several qualifying examinations, such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). Meet with your adviser if you plan on pursuing one of these exams to ensure you take the appropriate classes.
