Create, Innovate, and Launch with the Entrepreneurship Minor

Are you ready to turn ideas into action?

The Entrepreneurship Minor equips students with the skills to recognize opportunities, build innovative solutions, and transform ideas into real-world impact. Grounded in Georgia Tech’s CREATE-X ecosystem, this minor prepares students to think creatively, collaborate effectively, and lead with purpose.

Why Choose This Minor?

  • Learn the Entrepreneurial Process: Develop core skills in creativity, teamwork, customer discovery, prototyping, and fundraising through hands-on, project-based learning.
  • Build and Test Real Ideas: Through CREATE-X Ideas to Prototype (I2P) program, students can advance their ideas for a potential value creating product by performing basic research, analysis, building, and testing — leading to a proof of concept prototype.
  • Innovate Through Collaboration: Engage with Georgia Tech’s innovation community and work across disciplines to bring new solutions to life.

Open to All Majors

The Entrepreneurship Minor consists of 15 credit hours and supports Georgia Tech’s commitment to innovation and collaboration.

Due to course requirements, this minor may not be suitable for students with senior classification. For guidance, schedule an appointment with a Scheller advisor.

Required Course: MGT 4803 - Ideas to Prototype

MGT 4803 Ideas to Prototype (I2P) is a required course offered every semester (Summer, Fall, Spring) through Create X. Students must apply into I2P and be admitted in order to register for that class.

MGT 4803 Ideas to Prototype is ideal for students who want to advance their invention towards a real product while MGT 4803 Startup Lab or MGT 4803 Business Lab is ideal for students who need to learn the basics of startups including creativity, teaming, startup metrics, pivoting, and customer discovery while I2P focuses on creating a prototype.
