Dear Scheller Community,

While it was amazing to enjoy the break and finally be called an acceptable cook by my daughters, it also made me realize that our Scheller community is much less demanding. Hence, I am happy that the spring semester is starting and cannot wait for the students to return next week. I did not realize how much I missed the day-to-day campus buzz!

As we turn the page to a new year, I want to take a moment to reflect on the momentum we are carrying forward — and the shared purpose that continues to define our community.

December was a meaningful close to the year, marked most visibly by the celebration of our graduating students. Commencement is a powerful reminder of why we do this work. It represents not only individual achievement, but the collective effort of the Scheller faculty, staff, alumni, and partners who support our students at every stage of their journey. I am deeply grateful to everyone who goes above and beyond to make these milestones memorable for our students and their families.

That focus on pairing achievement with impact was evident throughout the end of the semester. We saw it in student-led ventures applying business and technology to real-world challenges, such as Executive MBA students Sahir Shroff and Ron Griffin, whose work is helping improve communication and coordination in cancer care. And stories like Paige Todd’s, B.S. Management ’07, underscore how Scheller students and alumni are using their education to create value well beyond the classroom and into their communities, solving the grand challenges our society faces.

We also saw strong evidence of Scheller’s role as a convener. Through our Tech Talks Business series and the 2025 Supply Chain Sustainability Symposium hosted by the Ray C. Anderson Center for Sustainable Business, we brought together leaders from industry, academia, and the public sector to engage in conversations that shape the future of business. These moments reflect our broader vision of Scheller as a connected hub — one that bridges disciplines, industries, and perspectives in meaningful ways.

At the same time, we continue to build momentum in the academic core of the College. Recent national recognition for our Quantitative and Computational Finance program, alongside the launch of new offerings like the Sustainable Business minor, reflects continued investment in rigor, relevance, and interdisciplinarity at the nexus of business and technology. These efforts strengthen our ability to prepare students for a rapidly evolving business landscape and support our partners by preparing top talent to enter the workforce.

As we enter 2026 and the spring semester, I am excited about what lies ahead. The months to come will bring new opportunities to learn, convene, and engage — and I hope you will continue to take part in the events, conversations, and collaborations that make Scheller such a dynamic place to learn and grow.

  • Tech Talks Business returns on January 28 at 5:30 p.m., featuring Eric Gray, president and CEO of GE Vernova’s Gas Power business.
  • Marketing minds collide for the 2026 Marketing Innovation Conference on February 27 at 1:00 p.m. hosting speakers from the Atlanta Falcons, Experian, Modo Modo, NBA, and other high-performing marketing organizations.
  • On March 19 and 20, Scheller will host the AI and Future of Finance Conference, bringing together leaders from Nasdaq, Zscaler, Snowflake, Bank of America, and other organizations to explore how AI is reshaping markets, risk, and financial infrastructure.

Thank you for your continued commitment to our students, to one another, and to our shared vision of building the world’s most connected business school. It is an honor to build this future together. I am looking forward to seeing everyone back on campus next week!

Best wishes,

Anuj Mehrotra
