2025-26 Scheller College Sustainability Fellows and Ambassadors

The program for Scheller College of Business Graduate Sustainability Fellows and Undergraduate Sustainability Ambassadors provides students with a unique enrichment opportunity to dive deep into sustainability topics for business. Participants take part in a wide range of activities throughout the academic year with the focus being a year-long team project, either self-guided or for a partner.

Organized by the Ray C. Anderson Center for Sustainable Business (Center) at the Georgia Tech Scheller College of Business, the program is managed by Arianna Robinson, the Center’s assistant director of business operations, and Kjersti Lukens, the Center’s program manager.

“This program marries the head and the heart when it comes to sustainability. Most Georgia Tech students come to this program with plenty of ‘heart’ – that is, a huge passion for creating a better world, whether for the environment or society. Our program broadens their understanding of what sustainability is and underscores the importance of making the business case for sustainability in order to scale solutions,” said Lukens.

Robinson added, “The hope is when our alumni are looking for solutions to problems in their courses or careers, they will be more holistic in their thought process as they work towards achieving sustainability and profitability goals.”

“I think of sustainability as a daily challenge: How can I tweak a routine, shift a habit, or even spark a conversation that gets others to see things differently? That same mindset guides my work. My goal is to design products, programs, and systems that reduce environmental impact, shape behavior, and scale across communities.”
- Quinn Burns, Undergraduate Sustainability Ambassador

The Center is pleased to introduce team projects and changemakers from across campus who have been selected for the 2025-26 academic year. While Scheller serves as the program’s home, the organizers welcome students from all academic areas. After all, sustainable changes at a global scale will require participation and innovation from people of all backgrounds.

A couple months into their projects, participants are already reaping the benefits while contributing to projects with impact. “This program uniquely allows me to apply and deepen my knowledge of sustainability while collaborating with like-minded peers and giving back through community work,” reflected Undergraduate Ambassador Caroline Fortune. “Unlike traditional courses or extracurriculars, it offers hands-on experience at the intersection of sustainability, business, philanthropy, education, and community.” Fortune, who interned last summer at BMW Group as part of the environmental management and compliance team, intends to pursue a career as a sustainability consultant upon graduation.

Graduate Fellow Demetrius Odomwho entered the Executive MBA Program with a decade of experience in cyber/cloud security and project management, has found a meaningful way to connect his personal experiences with his project. He explained, “My work as a Fellow combines real-world impact with personal purpose. Working with InVeris on operator health and sustainability directly connects to my experience as a veteran with hearing loss, allowing me to contribute lived insight beyond theory.”

Beyond their project responsibilities, participants are encouraged to take full advantage of the Center’s offerings. For example, students are invited to attend talks by visiting speakers and connect with professionals at symposia. After completing the program, Fellows and Ambassadors join the Center's alumni network. The Center sustains strong relationships with former participants, many of whom continue their involvement through roles such as serving on the Advisory Board, presenting at career discussion panels, and sponsoring projects for future cohorts of the program.

The Center is pleased to share profiles of this year’s Fellows and Ambassadors.
