Georgia Tech Scheller College of Business students come to learn, explore, and build community. As they move forward in their careers, they take everything they've learned and use it to power innovation in industries and businesses across the globe.
In celebration of Spring 2025 Commencement, we sat down with a few students to learn about their experiences and the wisdom they've gained in the process.
Meet Greg Pritchard, who is graduating from the Evening MBA program.

Describe yourself in 15 words or less:
Dad of two wild boys, endlessly curious, fueled by creativity, challenges, and the next big idea.
Who most influenced your decision to pursue an MBA?
My kids inspired me to pursue an MBA. Becoming a parent made me more focused on building a career with purpose, growth, and long-term potential. I wanted to show them, and myself, what it looks like to bet on yourself.
What was your favorite business course and why?
My favorite course was Strategic Marketing. Marketing didn’t interest me much before this class but Professor Aaron Hackett opened my eyes to the strategic side where analytics, psychology, creativity, and business intersect. It inspired my marketing concentration and shaped the rest of my electives. Thank you, Professor Hackett!
What advice would you give to an incoming Evening MBA student?
The classes I expected to enjoy the least became some of my favorites. Stay curious; it pays off.
What activities were you involved with on or off campus, and did your business education impact those activities in any way?
Outside of school, I worked full-time and raised a young family.
Balancing all three taught me how to prioritize and maximize my time. I reached a level of efficiency that I can bring to my career and life.
What was your favorite MBA event or tradition at Scheller, and why?
One of my favorite Scheller traditions was grabbing pre-class pizza at Ray’s, because I like pizza.
What was your career journey in the MBA program?
After 15 years in business services and sales, I used this experience to explore paths in strategy, marketing, and consulting. I’m currently exploring the next steps in growth leadership that will combine analytical thinking, client focus, and creativity in a more strategic capacity.
What are the top two items on your professional bucket list?
- Develop a methodology that becomes the industry benchmark for aligning sales, marketing, and customer experience to drive growth
- Build a forecasting methodology that outperforms traditional models by incorporating external market signals and behavioral trends
What is the biggest lesson you gained from your Scheller MBA?
I started the MBA to clarify my career path and gain the tools to pursue it. Along the way, I uncovered new interests that challenged old assumptions, and I realized that learning isn’t just about acquiring knowledge, it’s about evolving. I learned that confidence and humility go hand in hand. The more I grew, the more I saw that who I am and what I want will keep changing. Staying curious and open has been the most valuable part of the journey.
What will you be doing to celebrate your graduation?
I’m going to Legoland!
What is a fun fact about yourself?
I’m an amateur woodworker and DIY enthusiast. My ultimate motivator is hearing: “We should probably just hire someone to do it.”
