When 3D Girls, Inc. announced that its 2025 Community Impact Award would be presented to Dori Pap and the Georgia Tech Institute for Leadership and Social Impact (ILSI), the honor represented far more than a recognition; it celebrated a partnership that has generated real, lasting impact for young women and girls across Atlanta.

Over the past three years, ILSI has contributed more than 600 hours of specialized support to 3D Girls, Inc., including Pro Bono MBA consulting, strategy development, and student-powered innovation valued at over $50,000. This support allowed the organization to keep critical resources focused directly on programming, amplifying its mission to educate and empower girls.

In the words of 3D Girls, Inc. Executive Director Raioni Madison, the partnership became a turning point:

“Three years ago, we set out on an ambitious strategic plan. We knew where we wanted to go, but we needed the roadmap and the resources to get there. That is where Dori Pap and ILSI stepped in. They became our accelerator. Because of Dori, we didn’t just meet our three-year strategic goals; we exceeded them.”

Since Spring 2023, ILSI has opened the doors of the Scheller College of Business to 3D Girls, Inc., beginning with the Ideas to Serve (I2S) competition, an extension of Georgia Tech’s MGT 4189: Social Impact—Exploration and Design course. What began as a panel on mental health and a workshop on social media virality quickly grew into a multi-year collaboration.

Through ILSI, more than 50 Georgia Tech students have engaged directly with 3D Girls, Inc.’s mission. Their contributions included:

  • Three Social Impact Fellows who strengthened organizational infrastructure by developing the Girls Link Up digital user guide, facilitator handbooks, and a comprehensive social media and marketing analysis.
  • Multiple I2S teams who explored mental health-related issues, informed by Raioni’s insight and participation on panels in 2023, 2024, and 2025.
  • A Scheller MBA Pro Bono Consulting Practicum Team that delivered fundraising data analysis, a staff onboarding strategy, and an actionable strategic plan aligned with future growth.

The results have been transformative. Since 2022, 3D Girls, Inc. has delivered 1,023 hours of S.T.E.A.M. exposure activities and engaged 764 girls in evidence-based leadership development programs. These outcomes were strengthened by ILSI’s collaborative support and student engagement.

Our partnership with 3D Girls, Inc. has been a reminder of why community-centered work matters. Supporting their vision has been incredibly rewarding for our students and a unique learning experience for ILSI and for me personally. It is an honor to receive this award and to have the opportunity to collaborate with an organization that is creating lasting change. – Dori Pap, Managing Director, ILSI

The 2025 Community Impact Award is a heartfelt acknowledgment of a partnership built on trust, collaboration, and shared purpose. Together, ILSI and 3D Girls, Inc. have not only exceeded strategic goals; they have created a foundation for continued growth, empowerment, and meaningful impact for years to come.
