It’s time to change the guard. In this episode of The Intersection Podcast, Prem Rupawala bids farewell as podcast host and talks with Amber Barrington-Chappel, an incoming second-year MBA student and the new host of The Intersection Podcast, about his experience in the Full-time MBA program.
From the United Kingdom, Rupawala studied law and worked in technology consulting in London before deciding to take a leap of faith professionally and personally and move to Atlanta to pursue his MBA at the Georgia Tech Scheller College of Business. He went to Scheller hoping to move from implementation consulting into a strategic consulting role — a goal he achieved through his internship at Simon-Kucher, where he returned full-time post-graduation.
Throughout the episode, Rupawala reflects on adapting to a new environment and candidly discusses the challenges of rejection, managing his class schedule with his social life, and learning to set boundaries. While he had a lot to balance, he credits the Scheller community, alumni support, and peer coaching culture as some of the most valuable aspects of his MBA experience.
Listen to the episode to learn more about his time at Scheller, the relationships he built, his involvement as an ambassador, and his advice for prospective students.
