Dear Scheller Community,
As summer begins and the rhythm of campus becomes quieter, we continue to strengthen our relationships and build on the momentum we’ve created together as a community.
Last month, we celebrated the achievements of our graduating students during Commencement and Graduation Celebrations. We conferred degrees upon outstanding graduates across our programs: B.S. in Business Administration, M.S. Major in Management, Full-time MBA, Evening MBA, M.S. in Quantitative and Computational Finance, and Ph.D. It was a strong reminder of the ambition and excellence of our students.
QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) recently ranked our Executive MBA program No. 1 in Georgia and No. 14 in the U.S. This is the third consecutive year that our Executive MBA program has received this impressive recognition and speaks to the collective commitment of our students and faculty and the caliber of our curriculum.
May included an energizing trip to South Florida with Ernie Scheller. It was great to reconnect with our alumni whose ongoing support means so much to our community. The visit also included the opportunity to connect with Georgia Tech Center for Finance and Technology scholars at Millennium Capital Management in Miami. Our students continue to present impressive work using their hands-on classroom experience to find solutions to real-world business challenges.
We hosted a joyous retirement celebration honoring six of our stellar faculty and staff members: Robert Burgess, administrative director of The Denning Technology & Management Program; Larry Faskowitz, corporate relations manager; Anne Fuller, senior lecturer in Strategy and Innovation; Roger Simms, IT asset coordinator; Michael Smith, principal lecturer in Information Technology Management; and Peter Thompson, professor in Strategy and Innovation.
I want to express my sincere gratitude for the incredible contributions they’ve made and the care, excellence, and dedication they brought to Scheller. They leave behind a meaningful legacy.
Two of our esteemed faculty members were recognized with 2026 Regents’ Awards by the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia. Sudheer Chava received the Regents’ Professor Award and Frank Rothaermel received a Regents’ Professor Renewal.
The Regents’ Awards are among the University System of Georgia’s highest honors, recognizing sustained excellence, national distinction, and long-term impact by faculty and researchers across the state’s public institutions.
Other faculty recognition includes Ajay Kohli, who was named the Best Overall Paper Award winner at the 2026 AMA Marketing and Public Policy Conference, and Adithya Pattabhiramiah, who was named a finalist for two major annual Journal of Marketing Research awards. Rohan Ganduri was selected as the faculty co-director of the Tony Kepano Joint Center for Real Estate.
These accomplishments reflect not only their individual achievements but also the strength of our faculty and the impact of the work happening across Scheller every day. We’re incredibly fortunate to have colleagues of this caliber in our college, and their contributions are inspiring.
Looking ahead, we are gearing up to take Scheller on the road as we visit alumni across the country. We’ll be visiting Miami, Texas, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.
We also have an upcoming Scheller in Your City event. We'll be in Roswell on June 11.
I hope we all find some time for a well-earned break and have a productive and restful summer. Let's continue supporting our mission and vision together.
Best Wishes,
Anuj
