The Georgia Tech Scheller College of Business is proud to announce the launch of a new Executive Education offering: the Chief AI and Data Officer Certificate Program.

As AI becomes central to business strategy, leaders must navigate rapidly evolving technologies, regulatory frameworks, and ethical considerations. The Chief AI and Data Officer Certificate Program prepares executives to meet these challenges through a practical, interdisciplinary curriculum developed by faculty and industry experts.

Designed for experienced professionals leading AI, data, and digital transformation initiatives, the four-month program helps participants build confidence in managing the strategic, technical, and ethical complexities of emerging technologies. The program is ideal for current and aspiring chief AI officers, chief data officers, CTOs, CIOs, and other senior leaders tasked with translating AI and data into business value.

Through a mix of online modules, live sessions, and on-campus residencies, participants will gain the tools and language needed to oversee successful AI implementations and drive cross-functional innovation.

“AI and data executives are uniquely positioned to unlock new value for their organizations,” said Eric Overby, faculty director of the program and Catherine and Edwin Wahlen Professor of Information Technology Management at the Georgia Tech Scheller College of Business. “To succeed, they need a blend of technical fluency, strategic insight, and leadership skills. This certificate program equips them to make informed decisions, communicate across the enterprise, and navigate the ethical and legal complexities that come with AI and data innovation.”

The inaugural program runs from December 2025 to April 2026, with asynchronous content beginning in December and live sessions starting in January. Registration is open through December 5.
