Dear Scheller Community,
As we get closer to kicking off a new academic year, the unmistakable energy across the Scheller College of Business is inspiring. I am looking forward to welcoming our new and returning students who will bring a wide range of experiences and ambitions to our community.
This week and next, we’re excited to welcome new Full-time MBA, Evening MBA, Executive MBA, and M.S. Major in Management students for their orientation and immersion weeks. Across all our graduate programs, this year’s admissions cycle brought a record number of applications, and we expect to enroll the largest incoming graduate class in Scheller history. They are sure to make an impact on campus and beyond.
In more great news, our Full-time MBA Class of 2026 achieved a 100% internship placement rate for summer 2025. In a recent episode of The Intersection Podcast, Angelica Martini, Leonardo Ribeiro, and Lauren Dasher shared how they navigated the internship recruiting processes at Citibank, BCG, and Delta. Their experiences reflect the strength of our career services, alumni network, and student support systems.
Our student-centered focus is being recognized nationally. The Princeton Review recently ranked our MBA program No. 1 for Best Classroom Experience, based on student feedback about quality of instruction, practical relevance, and classroom engagement. We also earned top five placements for Best Campus Environment, Greatest Resources for Minority Students, and Best Administered. These recognitions speak to the collective commitment of our faculty, staff, alumni, and partners to deliver an outstanding educational experience.
That commitment also extends to expanding the opportunities we offer. We recently introduced the Business of Sports and Entertainment undergraduate minor, created in partnership with the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts. It joins our Fintech undergraduate minor and Real Estate Development and Finance graduate minor, reflecting a broader effort to design industry-aligned, interdisciplinary programs that prepare students for emerging career paths.
There is much to celebrate for our alumni as well. Four Scheller-affiliated alumni (David Hern, Liz Raman-Grubbs, Shannon Evanchec, and Tanay Rajore) were recently named to Georgia Tech’s 2025 40 Under 40 list, joining a distinguished group of alumni who are making meaningful contributions in their professions and communities.
As we continue to grow in impact and reach, the generosity of our community has been essential. I’m pleased to share that the College has surpassed the $100 million mark in campaign giving. This milestone reflects the belief our alumni and supporters have in our mission and future. There is still important work ahead, our goals are even higher, and our collective continued engagement will be key as we move forward.
One way to stay engaged this fall is by joining us for our upcoming Tech Talks Business sessions. We have three events slated so far with industry leaders who embody innovation and impact. Whether you’re joining us on campus or in New York, we hope to see you there:
- September 3: Beth Lowry, President and CEO, Holder Construction, CODA Building
- September 16: Stephen Squeri, Chairman and CEO, American Express, The University Club of New York
- October 8: Kim Greene, Chairman, President, and CEO, Georgia Power, CODA Building
Thank you for your commitment to Scheller. It’s an honor to be building something so special together.
Best wishes,
Anuj Mehrotra
