Ye received her Ph.D. from the Michael G. Foster School of Business at the University of Washington. Prior to her doctoral studies, she earned a B.A. in Finance from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and worked as a consultant specializing in the technology sector for three years.

Ye Liu is an Assistant Professor of Information Technology Management at the Scheller College of Business, Georgia Institute of Technology. Her research lies at the intersection of digital platforms and FinTech, with a particular focus on cryptocurrency adoption, social trading, and online networks. She combines econometrics and machine learning methods with large-scale platform and blockchain data to study technology adoption, user behavior, and information dynamics. In addition to her research on FinTech, she explores how online platforms can better serve underrepresented and socially marginalized communities, with the goal of fostering more inclusive and equitable digital ecosystems.
