In this episode of the Impact x Intersection podcast, Prem Rupawala, MBA ’26, speaks with Lighthouse Village Board Chair Jeff Beech, B.S. Management ’87 about the vision and impact behind Lighthouse Village in Conyers, Georgia.
Built on a commitment to collaboration, Lighthouse Village brings together Soaring Heights, Haven House (part of Rockdale Cares, Inc.), and Phoenix Pass to support some of Rockdale County’s most vulnerable populations, including individuals with developmental disabilities, women and children experiencing homelessness, and families in need of respite care. What began as a simple question about unmet community needs grew into an integrated neighborhood designed to serve both practical and social needs.
Drawing on his corporate background, Beech emphasizes the importance of creating a sustainable, investable model that can grow and scale. Today, Lighthouse Village stands as a powerful example of how independent organizations can share space, resources, and purpose while maintaining their individual missions.
With a focus on both local impact and broader replication, the Village aims to serve as a blueprint for communities beyond Rockdale County.
