Social Impact Fellow, Prateeksha Gupta

My name is Prateeksha Gupta, and I’m a first-year Business Administration major at Georgia Tech, concentrating in Accounting. This spring, I had the incredible opportunity to serve as a Social Impact Fellow through the Institute of Leadership and Social Impact. I worked with 3D Girls, Inc., an inspiring organization that strives to educate and empower young women to be advocates for themselves by making investments in their health and families. I was drawn to 3D Girls, Inc. because their mission deeply resonated with me. I’ve always believed in the power of youth and the importance of uplifting our communities, and seeing the passion and dedication of the 3D Girls, Inc. team only strengthened that belief. It was truly rewarding to witness the heart they pour into their work every day.

As a Marketing & Communications Intern, I worked on a variety of different projects aimed at increasing the organization’s visibility and engagement. For example, based on 3D Girls, Inc.’s branding, I created digital media content, such as flyers and graphics, for their social media platforms, tailored to align with the brand and promote upcoming events.I then collaborated with the team to assess engagement metrics and identify which design elements and messaging resonated most with the audience. Additionally, I used MailChimp to draft and execute blog posts as part of their ongoing marketing campaign. Toward the end of the semester, I developed a comprehensive final deliverable that analyzed social media performance, spotlighted top-performing content, and offered strategic recommendations to enhance future engagement.

It is an understatement to say that this experience was incredibly valuable and fulfilling. I learned so much in such a short period of time. Working with Raioni, the founder, was especially amazing. She was incredibly understanding and a great support system who was always available for questions and guidance. I was initially intimidated by this role as a first-year. However, Raioni and the 3D Girls, Inc team always made me feel so welcome and supported. Additionally, working closely with Peyton, who leads marketing at 3D Girls, Inc., was such an incredible experience. Her guidance, encouragement, and willingness to answer my questions made a huge impact on my learning experience.

Overall, this experience has not only strengthened my skills in marketing and communications but also deepened my passion for community-driven work. I am incredibly grateful to have contributed to an organization that uplifts and empowers young women, and I will carry the lessons and inspiration I’ve gained with me throughout my academic and professional journey.
