Declan Nishiyama Named as “Best & Brightest MBAs in the Class of 2018” by Poets & Quants

Scheller College is proud to announce that Declan Nishiyama has been selected by Poets & Quants (P&Q) as “The Best & Brightest MBAs in the Class of 2018.” Declan, a 2018 graduate of the Full-time MBA Program, served as Class Vice President of Finance and captain of the MBA intramural soccer teams. He also co-founded the Scheller Student Speaker program and volunteered at Open Hand Atlanta and the local veteran’s hospital.
Declan was chosen as one of 100 featured students from a pool of 239 nominations representing over 60 business schools throughout the world.

Scheller College is proud to announce that Declan Nishiyama has been selected by Poets & Quants (P&Q) as “The Best & Brightest MBAs in the Class of 2018.” Declan, a 2018 graduate of the Full-time MBA Program, served as Class Vice President of Finance and captain of the MBA intramural soccer teams. Before enrolling at Georgia Tech Scheller College of Business in 2016, Declan worked as a Business Analyst at ExxonMobil in Beaumont, Texas. While at Scheller College, he participated in the Technological Innovation: Generating Economic Results (TI:GER) Program as part of a team focused on autonomous vehicle technology. His TI:GER team won prize money at the Indus Entrepreneur Business Plan Competition and grant money from the National Science Foundation. Declan interned at Amazon Web Services in Seattle, Washington, the summer of 2017, and he will return to Amazon’s Seattle office as Senior Product Manager, Technical Products post-graduation.

The P&Q “Best and Brightest MBAs” list annually celebrates students who’ve made a lasting impact on their business schools. Declan was chosen as one of 100 featured students from a pool of 239 nominations representing over 60 business schools throughout the world. In the selection process, P&Q reviewed input from students and considered academic performance, extracurricular achievements, professional potential, and personal stories.
