As part of our Countdown to Commencement series, we interviewed a few soon-to-be graduates from our undergraduate and MBA programs to learn about their backgrounds, why they chose Scheller College, and what they plan to do after Fall 2018 Commencement.
Meet Gabriel Prado:
Gabriel is originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, and completing his Executive MBA (EMBA) in Global Business.
The top two items on his bucket list are “to learn a minimum of two new languages and to create a nonprofit to aid the less fortunate in access to education.” And, what did he plan to do after graduating high school: “I wanted to be a priest!”

I love to meet new people and I am curious and open to new cultures and viewpoints.

Where are you employed?
I work for Embraco (North America) as a Sales Account Manager. There, I’m responsible for the management of major accounts in the North America market (USA, Mexico, and Canada) in the Household segment, comprised of product trading produced by the different plants and the activities related to sales of refrigeration solutions.
Did your position change as a result of the EMBA program?
Yes; After more than 10 years in the contract management field for the public (state and federal government) and private sector, I was able to leverage my Global Business MBA to secure a role in a global supply of cooling system solutions.

If I hadn’t gone to business school, I would be reading contracts.
Hobbies?
Futbol (AKA soccer), history, community service, multiculturalism, and watching ‘Game of Thrones.’
In one sentence, how would you like your peers to remember you?
As a friendly person who loves people and dancing.
