Associate ProfessorBiography
Manpreet Singh has been a tenured Associate Professor in Finance since August, 2025. He joined Georgia Tech as an Assistant Professor in 2016. His research interests include 1) law and policy issues in finance and 2) human capital, labor, and finance. His research papers have been published in top journals, including the Review of Financial Studies, the Journal of Financial Economics, Management Science, and the Review of Finance. His work has been presented at over 70 domestic and international conferences, garnered 1,100 citations, and has been covered by several national news outlets, including the Wall Street Journal, National Affairs, and CATO research briefs. He teaches corporate finance, corporate restructuring, and empirical research methods in undergraduate, MBA, and PhD programs. He received the Student Recognition of Excellence in Teaching: Annual CIOS Award, 2022. Dr. Singh received his PhD (Finance) in 2016 from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Hong Kong. He holds a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Delhi.
