Emily’s teaching is shaped by her career experience in both consumer packaged goods and consulting. As a Senior Brand Manager at Newell Brands’ Goody Hair Products, she led a 12-member cross-functional team in a brand extension project for heat styling tools. In her consulting work, she has partnered with clients across nonprofit education, CPG, automotive, and telecommunications, guiding projects in marketing research, brand strategy, and digital marketing.
Before joining Georgia Tech, Emily served as a Teaching Professor at University of Colorado Boulders’ Leeds School of Business. She received the Frascona Award for Excellence in Teaching (2018) and was nominated for this honor annually from 2013 to 2024. In 2024, she was also a co-recipient of the Leeds Teaching Innovation Award for developing an applied interdisciplinary project with live clients in the Executive MBA program.
Emily holds an MBA from the University of Colorado and a BBA from Loyola University New Orleans. Outside the classroom, she enjoys life in Serenbe, Georgia, where you can often find her on the trails with her husband, two children, and their dog.
