Describe yourself in 15 words or less:

Scholarly, driven, and inquisitive — a tenacious, detail-oriented, and organized leader motivated to excel.

Who most influenced your decision to pursue your M.S. Major in Management degree?

Marvin Carolina, Georgia Tech Football alumnus.

What was your favorite business course and why?

Project Management with Professor Juan Perez was my favorite course. Professor Perez encouraged strong engagement from all his students. His course is structured to teach project management through immersive assignments and group work. As an aspiring project manager, his course provided great knowledge of the project life cycle.

What advice would you give to an incoming M.S. Major in Management student?

Imagine yourself in the role you aspire to fulfill. Once you see it clearly, begin embodying that person in how you think, speak, and act until it becomes reality. The M.S. Major in Management program provides the resources and opportunities to support that journey, but growth requires becoming a vessel ready to learn, develop, and rise into the person you’re meant to be.

What activities were you involved with on or off campus, and did your business education impact those activities in any way?

I'm a Double Jacket. During my undergraduate, I was a student-athlete on the Georgia Tech Track & Field team. As I transitioned into the M.S. Major in Management program, I continued my involvement with athletics by serving on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and leading the Black Student-Athlete Association as president.

Other involvement I began as a master’s student included serving as student relations chair on the GT Black Alumni Organization board and working part time at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in the Infrastructure Planning and Development office, supporting project, construction, and design managers.

What is something unexpected you learned about Scheller College during your time as a student?

Being an undergraduate student at Georgia Tech, the most unexpected aspect of Scheller College was the warm and vibrant culture. Each day, I enjoyed entering the Scheller building and embracing the lively energy.

What’s been your favorite memory so far at Scheller?

Studying for final exams at the end of the fall semester with other M.S. Major in Management students in the Graduate Lounge. In moments of high stress and chaos, we persevered together through a demanding and high-pressure period.

What is the biggest lesson you gained from your time at Scheller?

Working with others requires understanding, flexibility, and patience. 90% of group work should be focused on building relationships while 10% should be focused on getting the work done.

Where will you be working after graduation?

I will be working at WSP, an international engineering consulting firm. At Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, I will serve as an aviation assistant project manager in the Infrastructure Planning and Development office.

What will you be doing to celebrate your graduation?

I’ll be enjoying the sun in Miami with friends.

Who would you like to thank most for your success?

My biggest thanks for my success go to my mother who worked tirelessly to provide for my siblings and me.

What is a fun fact about yourself?

During my collegiate athletic career in 2025, I ranked among the top 30 athletes nationally on the USA Track & Field list, the top 20 in the NCAA, and the top three in the ACC in the men’s triple jump, recording a mark of 52 feet, 8 inches (16.05 meters). I am also ranked in the top five all time at Georgia Tech in the event.

What are the top two items on your bucket list?

  1. Visit Florence, Italy to experience Renaissance art
  2. Travel to all seven continents, including Antarctica

Who is your favorite business professor?

Dr. Narayanan Jayaraman, or Dr. J. At the beginning of a few of his classes, Dr. J provided our class with insightful quotes and advice that will stick with me.

What actor would you cast to play yourself in a movie about your life?

Sterling K. Brown

What's your favorite place you've traveled to, and why?

One of my favorite places is the Smoky Mountains. I’ve discovered that I find the most peace in the mountains as I have an opportunity to connect myself to nature.

What is your proudest accomplishment?

After tearing my patellar tendon, I entered a daze. The physical condition of my body did not align with my mental aspirations, and I struggled to find tranquility for months. My proudest moment comes from overcoming this hardship and discovering a new path.

What did you want to be when you were small?

A geologist

What is your latest book recommendation?

“The Alchemist” by Paulo Coelho

Favorite restaurant in Atlanta:

Silver Skillet
