Steve Buffington, Vice President Supply Chain (SC), The Coca-Cola Company
R. Steve Buffington is currently Vice President Supply Chain (SC) for Atlanta based Coca-Cola Company, a position he has held since December 2009. He is responsible for Global SC Strategy, Operational Excellence and capability development for the Coca-Cola system as well as head of SC for the Bottling Investment Group. Mr. Buffington was formerly Regional Director, South Asia & Latin America Bottling Investments Group, where he was responsible for Company-owned bottlers in Brazil, Uruguay, India, Philippines and Singapore. Prior to this role, Steve managed the Company-owned bottlers in Sweden, Norway and the Baltics from 2001-2005. Steve joined the Coca-Cola system in 1979, and has held positions in the United States, South America, Mexico and Europe in operations and general management for both the Company and franchise bottlers.
Steve holds a B.S. in Industrial Management from the Georgia Institution of Technology, 1977, and previously worked for Burger King and Texas Instruments. He and his wife recently funded a study abroad scholarship at the Scheller College of Business.
