Dear Scheller Community,

As we move into February, I continue to be energized by the momentum across the College and the many ways our students, alumni, faculty, and partners are strengthening Scheller’s role as a connected and impactful business school at Georgia Tech.

One meaningful milestone this month is the establishment of the Institute’s first pooled, need-based endowment, made possible by the leadership and generosity of our Young Alumni Advisory Board. This endowment reflects the deep commitment our alumni feel to Scheller and their belief in collectively investing in future generations of students. It is a powerful example of how our community comes together to create lasting impact.

That spirit of connection was also on full display at the launch of the spring season of Tech Talks Business, where a strong turnout welcomed Eric Gray, CEO of GE Vernova’s Power Segment, for an engaging conversation with our students and community about the state of the energy industry, and the need for stronger AI educational foundations for the future workforce. This discussion was well-timed with our recent announcement of the new Center for AI in Business, an innovative new center dedicated to the rapidly changing role of artificial intelligence in business strategy, decision-making, and innovation. The Center’s establishment underscores Scheller’s dedication to remaining at the forefront of business education and preparing our students for careers in evolving landscapes.

Our faculty’s research and thought leadership continue to demonstrate how business insights can drive real-world impact. A recent Scheller Business Insights feature highlighted how data analytics can transform the museum experience, illustrating the practical application of research at the intersection of business, technology, and society. These efforts underscore how our faculty and students are translating ideas into action beyond the classroom, and the impact that research done here at Scheller is improving the world we live in.

We are also seeing exciting progress here in Tech Square. Tech Square Commons, part of the George Tower | Scheller Tower, recently welcomed its first students, marking a major milestone for this transformational project. While work continues ahead of the building’s full debut in August, this step represents our continued investment in creating spaces that support collaboration, innovation, and experiential learning in the heart of Atlanta.

January also brought important new members to our academic community. We were pleased to greet the inaugural cohort of the Center for Finance and Technology Scholars Program, as well as our Spring 2026 Evening MBA students. These programs reflect Scheller’s commitment to preparing learners at every stage for leadership at the nexus of business and technology.

Finally, it was exciting to see Georgia Tech President Ángel Cabrera represent the Institute at the World Economic Forum, sharing how Georgia Tech is expanding access to education and economic opportunity on a global scale. Scheller College of Business is at the forefront of this mission to advance our undergraduate, graduate, and executive education offerings, and through our focus on delivering value, access, and impact for learners worldwide.

I look forward to what lies ahead at Scheller this semester:
