Dear Scheller Community,

While summer is underway and the rhythm of campus may seem a little quieter, we continue to build upon our connections and momentum to further strengthen our community.

In May, we wrapped up the Tech Talks Business season with an inspiring conversation in New York City featuring Jonathan Gray, president and COO of Blackstone. Our discussion explored long-term investment strategy and resilience, as well as the transformative potential of AI and data centers. We are grateful to our alumni and friends who made the session possible and look forward to resuming the series in the fall.

We are also excited to share recent academic milestones that expand our impact across Georgia Tech and beyond. Launching this fall, Scheller will be home to Tech’s first B.S. to M.S. pathway program, developed in collaboration with the Colleges of Computing and Engineering. The pathway will enable undergraduate students to build business acumen alongside their technical expertise, an option that reflects our interdisciplinary values.

In addition, our M.S. Major in Management and Ph.D. programs recently received STEM designation, underscoring the analytical rigor of our curriculum and strengthening the global competitiveness of our graduates.

Our commitment to impactful learning extends beyond our degree programs. We recently concluded the 24th cohort of the Coca-Cola Supply Chain Leadership Excellence program, an Executive Education custom program partnership that provides 30+ leaders from around the world with new tools to navigate complexity and drive innovation. We look forward to expanding our strategic focus on Executive Education in the coming year.

Meanwhile, our alumni network continues to grow in depth and engagement. Since its founding in 2022, the Scheller Young Alumni Advisory Board has expanded from 15 to 46 members, with the recent addition of 13 members who share a commitment to mentorship, networking, and philanthropy.

That commitment is brought to life by alumni like Andrew Eskander, MBA ’21 and former Marine, who established a fellowship to support veterans as they transition into Scheller’s MBA program. Other alumni like Gennadiy Gurevich, B.S. Industrial Engineering ’13 and Denning T&M ’11, who went from student to founding board member of CREATE-X and managing partner of Dominion Capital, reflect the powerful intersection of business, technology, and purpose.

This last month also marked a transition for one of our esteemed faculty members. Professor Sridhar Narasimhan retired after 38 years of service to Georgia Tech. His contributions to the field of IT management, and the students and colleagues he influenced throughout his career are a part of his remarkable legacy. We are deeply grateful for his dedication and wish him the very best in his next chapter.

Next week, we look forward to celebrating the impactful contributions of our staff at our annual appreciation event. I look forward to gatherings like this that help us build our community not just in classrooms and boardrooms, but in the everyday moments we share.

I hope we all find some time for a well-earned break and have a productive and restful summer. Let's continue supporting our mission and vision together.

Best wishes,

Anuj Mehrotra
