At the 5th annual brunch hosted by alumna Jacquelyn Renée Schneider, BSBC '06 and MBA '18, in recognition of International Women’s Day, Dean Alavi was celebrated for her nine-year tenure at Scheller College of Business.

In her years as dean, Alavi has increased the stature and recognition of the College by working to increase rankings, expand curriculum offerings across all programs, hire accomplished faculty, continuously support students, faculty, and staff, and engage alumni as an integral part of the Scheller community.

In addition, she has proven her dedication to increasing diversity, equity, and inclusion across the Scheller community, embodying the theme of this year’s International Women’s Day, “Embrace Equity.”

Dean Alavi attended the event surrounded by women in the MBA program as Schneider presented the dean with a large bouquet of flowers in appreciation of her accomplishments over the years.
