Be Part of the Information Immune System of Our Democracy: Impact Lunchtime Talk Featuring Frances Haugen

Impact is a series of meaningful conversations, free and open to all. The talks provide students and the larger community on and off-campus the opportunity to network with and learn from successful leaders and entrepreneurs from the corporate and social sectors. This talks features Frances Haugen, Facebook whistleblower and founder of Beyond the Screen.

francis-haugen-image2.jpgThe first Impact Lunchtime Talk of the year drew a full house in the Georgia Tech Scheller College of Business and, thanks to the hybrid format, a global audience. The event was co-sponsored with the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts, the Center for Computing and Society, and the Cecil B. Day Center for Business Ethics and featured Frances Haugen, Facebook whistleblower and founder of Beyond the Screen, who left everyone reevaluating their relationship with social media.

Her closing remarks held a compelling call to action:
