Dean Maryam Alavi of the Georgia Tech Scheller College of Business recently hosted a virtual conversation with Paul Brown, CEO of Inspire Brands and Scheller alumnus (MGT ’89). Brown co-founded Inspire Brands in 2018 and has now completed four multibillion-dollar acquisitions to create a global restaurant company with top consumer brands, including Arby’s, Baskin-Robbins, Buffalo Wild Wings, Dunkin’, Jimmy John’s, and more.
During the hour-long talk, Brown discussed how technology will impact the future of business and his personal approach to leadership. He also walked the audience through his career journey and how he saw technology and the rise of the internet fundamentally transform both the airline and hospitality industries. When Brown joined Arby’s as CEO, he started to see the same technology impact on the restaurant industry. Other topics he touched on included his business approach, brand management, and the importance of organic growth.
Brown’s conversation with Dean Alavi is available in its entirety in the video below.
