Scheller College is proud to announce that recent Full-time MBA alumni Anna Babinets, Reemon Silverman, and Alex Walsh have been featured by Poets & Quants (P&Q) as “MBAs to Watch” for the Class of 2018. The P&Q “MBAs to Watch” list annually celebrates students with exceptional professional promise who’ve made a lasting impact on their business schools.

While at Scheller College, Anna Babinets was co-president of MBA Women in Business and a member of the MBA Ambassadors program. She volunteered her time with Junior Achievement of Atlanta and participated in the MBA service trip in support of the St. Bernard New Orleans project. As part of her nomination, Lauren Porter, Corporate Relations Manage, included: “Anna is a vital part of our community, a leader both inside and outside of the classroom. We’ve been fortunate to have her energy and enthusiasm in our program.” Following graduation in May 2018, Anna joined Delta Air Lines’ Finance Leadership Development Program.

Reemon Silverman was the other co-president of MBA Women in Business, a club that tripled its membership under Anna and Reemon’s leadership. Reemon also served as MBA peer leadership committee chair, a Georgia Tech Leadership Fellow, and co-instructor of GT 1000: Startups & Entreprenuership. Along with classmates Declan Nishiyama and Chris Bergman, Reemon co-founded the Scheller Speaker Series, a recurring TED Talk-style event program featuring Scheller MBA students. Of Reemon’s professional promise, Lauren Porter noted, “Undoubtedly, her intellectual curiosity, commitment to others, and zeal for life will follow her throughout her career.” Reemon joined North Highland as a Senior Strategy Consultant following graduation in May 2018.

Alex Walsh served as co-chair of the MBA social committee, organizing weekly social outings and activities for all Full-time and Evening MBA students. While a student, Alex also hosted of Scheller College Intersection podcast, served as an MBA Ambassador, and volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta. Katie Lloyd contributed to Alex’s nomination, stating, “Alex has been a vibrant and engaged member of our community. His impact on the program has been significant and I believe it will continue as he transitions to an alumnus.” Alex got a jump start on his post-graduate employment, reporting back to his internship company The Home Depot in January 2018. He will continue work on the Consumer Insights team.
