Clarke, Associate Professor of Finance, credits the 1987 movie Wall Street for luring him to the world of finance.

He can often be found instructing inside the College’s Ferris-Goldsmith Trading Floor, a 2,000-square-foot facility equipped with dual-screen computers and scrolling stock ticker displays, and says that business education is now more “focused on experiential learning” than when he first began teaching.

Garner, coming fresh off the heels of being named by Georgia Tech Alumni Magazine as one of the Institute’s most “transcendent teachers,” has taught within three different business schools and quips her fantasy job would be as a defensive football coordinator. Known for her passion for innovation, her students say she makes learning enjoyable by getting to know them on a personal level.

This summer, Clarke and Garner teamed up to present “Wall Street on West Peachtree,” a weeklong finance summer camp for high school students at Scheller College’s Ferris-Goldsmith Trading Room.
