5:30 - 6:00PM - Dinner Reception (Rich Reading Room on the 3rd Floor Executive Wing)

6:00PM - 6:45PM - Building a Beloved Economy (Room 316) 

  • Jarryd Bethea, Senior Research Associate at the Atlanta Wealth Building Initiative, will provide an overview of the state of wealth, poverty, income, debt, access to capital, housing, business ownership and jobs in Atlanta. He will further provide recommendations for a black community wealth building strategy.

6:45 - 7:00 PM - BREAK

7:00 - 7:45 PM - Panel Discussion on Building a Beloved Community (Room 316)

  • Interactive panel conversation on how individuals, corporations and community organizations can assist with racial economic mobility. Panelists will include:
    • Jarryd Bethea: Senior Research Associate, Atlanta Wealth Building Initiative
    • Mandy Eidson: Director, Business Development and Community Engagement, Self-Help Credit Union
    • LaTonya Parker: Director of Inclusive Excellence, Scheller College of Business
