She is a thought leader on IT strategy as well as a recognized educator and advisor with extensive experience in leadership development and organizational capability building for a digital age.

Having working in Payer and Provider organizations his entire career, Avery is passionate about how analytics may positively enable change in people’s health as well as improve their experience in the broader health system.

Avery’s teams focus on helping clients identify and capture value, which can then be reinvested to lower the cost of healthcare, build programs to support people’s clinical needs, and/or advance capabilities for easier system navigation. Avery sees the operationalizing of analytics as the top priority for organizations to unleash this potential whether it be predictive modeling, intelligent automation functionality, artificial intelligence capabilities or less complicated rules-based solutions. By applying approaches and solutions from other consumer focused industries, Health is poised to be more effective and efficient on its journey to become frictionless.

Dr. Elizabeth Mynatt is Distinguished Professor in the College of Computing and the Executive Director of Georgia Tech’s Institute for People and Technology (IPaT). IPaT is pursuing innovative new ideas to promote healthy, productive and fulfilling lives on a global scale. By fostering an interdisciplinary and collaborative environment between Georgia Tech faculty, students, and external partners, IPaT provides the continuity and capacity to address and solve today’s scientific, social, and economic grand challenges surrounding the health and wellbeing of people, their families, and communities.

In her research, Mynatt directs the Everyday Computing Lab. There she investigates the design and evaluation of health information technologies including creating personalized mobile technology for supporting breast cancer patients during their cancer journey, evaluating mobile sensing and mHealth engagement for pediatric epilepsy patients and their caregivers, and investigating the positive and negative influence of social media on self-harm behaviors such as eating disorders. She is also one of the principal researchers in the Aware Home Research Initiative; investigating the design of future home technologies, especially those that enable older adults to continue living independently as opposed to moving to an institutional care setting.

Mynatt is an internationally recognized expert in the areas of ubiquitous computing and assistive technologies. Her research contributes to ongoing work in personal health informatics, computer-supported collaborative work and human-computer interface design.

Bob Ghafouri is founder and chief executive of Bloom, the digital strategy and transformation unit of Accenture, which integrates digital assets, analytics, software and services to help clients drive growth and create new sources of value.

In this role, Mr. Ghafouri oversees a global team that provides a comprehensive portfolio of business and technology services, from developing digital strategies to helping implement digital technologies and running digital processes in partnership with clients.

Prior to assuming his current role, Mr. Ghafouri was Chief Client Officer of Accenture Interactive, with broad responsibility for the group’s digital marketing offerings and strategy. He joined Accenture in 2010 upon the acquisition of the personalization and customer analytics company that he founded and led as chief executive officer.

Warris Bokhari is the vice president of Digital Care Delivery, responsible for leading the development of clinical partnerships, establishing an external development community, and serving as dean for academic partnerships.

Prior to joining Anthem, Warris was with Apple Health leading strategic initiatives and business development and led the Internet of Things (IoT) strategy for the biologics and cell therapy businesses at GE Healthcare. Additionally, he has founded several startups – one focused on using computational linguistics to find connections between large document sets. He also has experience deploying capital and incubating small biotechnology companies for a UK-based venture fund.

Mr. Bokhari holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S) as well as a Bachelor of Science – Chemistry with Management from Kings College in London.
