Cecil B. Day Program in Business Ethics presents: Gregg Kunemund, UnitedHealthcare Medicare & Retirement

 

Gregg Kunemund is the Health Plan CEO with United Healthcare Medicare & Retirement for the Southeast Region. He has over 30 years’ experience in the Health Insurance Industry with concentration on Government programs including Medicare & Medicaid. He has worked for UnitedHealthcare for just over 10 years. His prior healthcare experience was with Blue Cross Blue Shield and AvMed Health Plan.
 
Gregg has successfully and effectively achieved strong growth and reduction of healthcare fraud by focusing on delivering exceptional value to physicians, hospitals and the customers of UnitedHealthcare. His intimate understanding of claims coding, ICD-10 Coding & implementing Accountable Care Organizations (ACO) which improve member outcomes and reduce medical spend. He is a national known speaker on Medicare Products and Healthcare Fraud. 

Gregg has a Bachelor’s of Science in Health Services & Education from State University of Brockport and is currently pursuing his masters in Health Administration at the University of Florida. He resides in Norcross Georgia with his wife, Lori. His son, John is a graduate of Duke University and his daughter, Kristen is a graduate of University of Florida. Both reside in New York City.
