David B. Knowles, President and Chief Operating Officer, OM Group
David’s responsibilities include overseeing the performance of all OM Group global business operations consisting of Battery Technologies, Magnetic Technologies and Specialty Chemicals, as well as the Global Information Technology group. Before joining OM Group in April 2013, David served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Myers Industries, a publicly-traded international diversified manufacturer serving industrial, automotive, commercial and consumer markets. Prior to Myers, David was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Aristech Acrylics LLC, a specialty materials company. Earlier in his career, David held various senior management and operating leadership positions at Honeywell, M.A. Hanna and other firms.
David serves on the board of BVU: The Center for Non-Profit Excellence in Cleveland, Ohio and on the board of a non-profit in Cincinnati that delivers meditation, stress management and yoga to underserved and at risk communities in Cincinnati, Ohio.
David earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Master of Management from the J. L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University.
