Aaron K. Block, Senior Associate in the Products Liability Group, Alston & Bird, LLP Atlanta Office

Mr. Block is a Senior Associate in the Products Liability Group in the firm’s Atlanta office.  His practice is focused on the representation of product manufacturers and similar parties in complex and mass tort litigation, ranging from personal injury claims to consumer fraud cases. Mr. Block also has experience with litigation involving hydraulic fracturing/fracking. He tends to concentrate on matters in which mastering cutting-edge scientific or technical evidence is critical.

Beverlee E. Silva, Partner in the Environmental and Land Use Group, Alston & Bird, LLP Atlanta Office

Beverlee Silva is co-chair of the firm’s Shale Gas Extraction/Hydraulic Fracturing Team and a member of the firm’s Toxic Tort Team and, the Hiring Committee. She has been recognized as a “Super Lawyer” and as a “Legal Elite” by Georgia Trend Magazine. 

Ms. Silva’s practice involves a full range of environmental issues. She has 25 years of nationwide experience in environmental and toxic tort litigation. She also handles environmental regulatory matters, assisting clients with compliance counseling, audits, site remediation and Brownfield redevelopment, as well as in procuring and defending environmental permits. Additionally, Ms. Silva routinely conducts environmental due diligence and evaluates environmental liabilities in the context of real estate transactions, asset and stock acquisitions, high-yield debt offerings and commercial credit facilities.
