She brings over a decade of governance, project management, and policy development experience from her long-standing service on the Rockdale County Board of Education, where she has contributed to strategic planning, legislative advocacy, and organizational compliance. She has worked with the Georgia School Boards Association (GSBA), the National School Boards Association (NSBA), and local education foundations, shaping best practices and bylaws to strengthen public education systems.
Heather’s background also includes significant contributions to community engagement initiatives through roles with Georgia PTA and Restoration Storehouse, where she has served on governance committees, ensuring alignment with mission-driven outcomes. Her ability to lead with both empathy and structure reflects her commitment to equity, excellence, and organizational integrity.
In addition to her public service, Heather has worked in political campaign strategy, real estate law administration, and higher education admissions, demonstrating a versatile and solutions-oriented approach.
