Since joining Georgia Tech in 2017, Quashavia has served in departments such as Georgia Tech Professional Education (GTPE) and the Renewable Bioproducts Institute. Though she does not hold a formal leadership title, she leads through influence, valuing listening, follow-through, and helping others. Her portfolio reflects a deep commitment to professional development, resourcefulness, and integrity. Quashavia is a Human Resources Consultant where she supports staff through strategic guidance on Georgia Tech’s policies and procedures, and processes and talent acquisition for both staff and students. She serves as the Professional Development Chair for Scheller’s Staff Enrichment Committee, is a member of Georgia Tech’s Event Coordinators Network, and teaches as a GT 1000 Instructor. Quashavia holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Public Administration from Strayer University, is SHRM-CP certified, and a recent graduate of Georgia Tech’s Inclusive Leaders Academy. Her dedication has earned her multiple honors, including the Stephen P. Zelnak Jr. Award for Staff Excellence and the Lifetime Achievement Award from former President Barack Obama’s administration. She also completed the ASPIRE: Cultivating a Leadership Mindset Program in 2022.
