Walaa Compton joined the Business Analytics Center in August 2017 as the Program & Operations Manager.  Walaa is responsible for the execution of center projects/initiatives, supervises graduate research assistants & student assistants and manages the day-to-day activities of the center.  She is the point of contact for questions about the center.  Prior joining the center, she worked at Chemistry & Biochemistry department. Walaa brings to the center over twenty three years of experience in teaching, federal & foundation research administration in local and global settings, global strategic partnership building and activation, building consensus across unlikely partners, international public health and population projects administration, competitions, and higher education academic administration.  Walaa was a Student in Free Enterprise Student, and her presentation with the team was recognized in the 2007 USA-SIFE regional competition.

Walaa earned an MBA from Coles College of Business at Kennesaw State University, BBA in accounting from Cairo University and currently enrolled in Master of Science in Instructional Design & Technology at Georgia State University.  She hopes that her undergoing master degree will enable her to serve Scheller College of Business and GA Tech in additional capacity.

Walaa volunteers her time as a member of the executive board of a local nonprofit (chapter of a national nonprofit) in the State of Georgia.
