Saby Mitra is TR Williams - Wells Fargo Professor of Information Technology Management. As Senior Associate Dean of Programs from July 2015 until July 2020, Dr. Mitra was resposnible for all degree and non-degree programs in the Scheller College. From 2007 to 2013, he was the faculty director of the Executive MBA program at Georgia Tech.  He also held the William H. Anderson II Term Professorship from 2010 - 2012. His current research interests include Electronic Commerce, IT Security and Business Continuity, Business Analytics,  IT Governance, IT Outsourcing, and IT Infrastructure Design.

His research has appeared or forthcoming in several premier journals such as Management Science, Information Systems Research, MIS Quarterly, Journal of Marketing, Journal of Operations Management, INFORMS Journal on Computing, IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering, and Journal of Management Information Systems among others. He has served as Senior Editor and Associate Editor of Information Systems Research, an INFORMS journal. He received his PhD from the University of Iowa and his Bachelor of Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology.
