He is the academic lead of CDL-Atlanta, the Creative Destruction Lab site at Scheller College. CDL is an objectives-based mentorship program for massively scalable, seed-stage science- and technology-based startups.
He is also the executive director and academic director of TI:GER - Technology Innovation: Generating Economic Results - a transdisciplinary technology-innovation program bringing together students from Scheller College and Georgia Tech's College of Computing, College of Engineering, and College of Sciences. TI:GER students work with ventures at CDL-Atlanta.
Dr. Giuliano was voted professor of the year (for elective courses) in academic years 2012-2013, 2013-2014, 2016-2017, 2017-2018, 2018-2019, and 2020-2021 by MBA students, and he received a similar award in academic year 2014-2015 for undergraduate electives.
He has started, co-founded, and exited four companies, led turnarounds in the United States and Europe, led high-growth international companies as an interim executive and a board director, licensed more than 100 technologies on five continents, and raised more than $1.2 billion for startups and SMEs in the United States, Europe, and Asia.
He has advised c-level executives and boards of directors at 21 of the Global 100. He also advises firms and family offices managing venture capital, private equity, and hedge funds.
After receiving degrees at Colgate University and the University of Virginia, he earned his doctoral degree at the University of Manchester.
