The People of Scheller x Microsoft

Jacob Gelbaum

EMBA, ’18, Principal Program Manager, Microsoft

“Adding my Scheller degree to a 15-year technology career rounded out my background in a way that helped me get identified for this position and gave me the skills to deliver in the role. This fusing of a formal business degree into a range of experiences with data and analytics, cloud transformations, and product/program management was the perfect mix for Microsoft. In my current role, I draw on all those skills and experiences to support Microsoft's biggest business units and external customers.”

“I was headed down a very technical career track prior to coming to Scheller and wanted to make a pivot. My experience at Scheller gave me exposure to so many different companies and roles that helped shape my job search to better align with my long term career aspirations. The Scheller alumni at Microsoft played a role in helping me land the job. Everyone was so generous in helping me prep for the interviews as well as advocating on my behalf with the recruiters. To this day, I’m forever grateful for the people who paved the way for me and I try my best to pay it forward every year by helping others get into Microsoft.”
