In 2022, Google opened its Atlanta office just blocks away from the Scheller College of Business. In short order, the College established a collaboration with Google that continues to provide Scheller students and alumni with careers in software, hardware, data analytics, marketing, cloud computing, and more.

Google's mission is to "organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful." The company has stayed true to that mission.

Through products and platforms like Search, Maps, Gmail, Android, Google Play, Google Cloud, Chrome and YouTube, Google plays a meaningful role in the daily lives of billions of people and has become one of the most widely-known companies in the world.

Step Inside Google

Google's 19-story office stands as a testament to Atlanta's legacy of social change and Georgia's vibrant history. The company collaborated with over 50 local companies to offer a unique blend of functionality and cultural celebration.

Entering the visitor center, guests are greeted by a striking red arch reminiscent of a heart, while a wall adorned with boombox molds sets the tone for an immersive Georgian experience. Each floor is designed to showcase different aspects of the state's cultural, musical, and artistic heritage.

Panoramic views of Atlanta's skyline serve as a backdrop to interiors that pay tribute to various elements of Georgia's past. From nods to Athens' iconic rock scene to the WERD Cafe, named after the first Black-owned and programmed U.S. radio station, the office space is a veritable museum of local history. The workplace environment is further enhanced by vibrant graffiti walls and cozy nooks designed for team collaborations or solitary work. In true Google fashion, the office boasts multiple dining options and even an on-site hair salon for employees.

This Midtown office reinforces Google's reputation for creating distinctive work environments, offering its staff a space that not only facilitates productivity but also celebrates the rich tapestry of Georgian culture.
