What's something on your bucket list?

Something on my bucket list is to live abroad for a year or more.

What actor would you cast to play yourself in a movie about yourself and why?

America Ferrera, I’ve resonated with her since the “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.”

What's your favorite place you've traveled to and why?

Italy because I learned about traditional Italian Food Production and Food Culture. I was taught the language and traditions, and invited to share experiences and meals with the local communities.

Favorite family tradition:

Weekly Shabbat dinner with our staples: challah, matzah ball soup, and kibbe served Mexican Jewish style with guacamole.

What is your proudest accomplishment?

My proudest accomplishment is graduating as my High School Valedictorian.

What did you want to be when you were small?

I wanted to be a chef.

Your life story in one sentence:

Food is my passion, hobby, and work, and I’m fortunate to have discovered that at a young age.

My favorite restaurant in Atlanta:

Mamak Vegan

My favorite comfort food or family recipe:

Kibbe with guacamole! I come from Syrian/Mexican Jewish Ancestry on my maternal side and I’m Ashkenazi Jewish on my paternal side, so we have a number of unique food combinations and recipes! One of them is kibbe. It’s a traditional Syrian torpedo stuffed with meat and pine nuts, fried and flavored with a unique blend of warm spices with guacamole. I’m still working on getting my great grandmother’s kibbe recipe!
