What's something on your bucket list?

I would love to start my own fashion blog! I have always been passionate about fashion and clothes. I think this passion comes from my mom. She is someone I have always looked up to for her timeless style. I am always looking at fashion magazines with her and talking about different runway shows and influencers that we saw on social media. I also danced for 15 years, so all the costumes were always inspirational to me. Getting to dress up just elevates my confidence so I would love to one day play a role in instilling confidence in other women.

What actor would you cast to play yourself in a movie about yourself and why?

Zendaya. She is overall just an amazing person with such a bubbly and fun personality. If I were to describe myself, I would say I am a very positive and upbeat person who just wants to live life to the fullest. So, I think Zendaya would be the perfect person to play me. She is also one of the few people I saw on TV growing up that looked like me. Having someone like her play me would be such an honor.

What's your favorite place you've traveled to and why?

Jamaica. Both my parents are from Jamaica, so I have travelled there quite a bit. I just have so many fond memories with my grandparents and cousins. I especially love going to the beach and enjoying the unique Jamaican cuisine.

Favorite family tradition:

Every time I visit my grandparents, my grandma makes a special homemade pumpkin soup, and it is just the best.

What is your proudest accomplishment?

My proudest accomplishment would have to be getting an internship with Abercrombie and Fitch. Retail has been one of my personal passions for as long as I can remember, and the fact that I was able to land an internship with such a household company like A&F after going through such a rigorous recruitment process was something I was super proud of. It isn’t a common path for many students at Scheller (no fashion companies recruit out of tech, few GT alumni go into retail), so I had to work hard to find opportunities on my own and network with professionals in retail. I also had to take time to learn important skills like retail math and retail terminology in my free time to be able to put my best foot forward going into recruitment. I was so excited to get the call from my recruiter that I got the internship. I went and got Jeni's Ice Cream to celebrate afterword. It is a memory I will never forget!

What did you want to be when you were small?

I wanted to be a professional dancer. I started dancing at age three, so that was my first love and what I thought I wanted to do when I grew up!

My favorite restaurant in Atlanta:

O-Ku Sushi in West Midtown

My favorite comfort food or family recipe:

Jerked salmon with rice and black beans
