Who most influenced your decision to pursue your MBA?
My dad and my brother were the biggest influences on my decision to pursue an MBA. My dad, a professor with a Ph.D. who also earned his MBA, showed me the lifelong value of education and continuous learning. My brother, a physician who later earned his MBA, inspired me by demonstrating how business knowledge can elevate any career path. Together, they helped me see the doors an MBA could open and encouraged me to take the next step. People with their MBA just think different!
What was your favorite business course and why?
Marketing Research was my favorite course; it gave me a deeper look into the consumer’s mind and showed me how to structure research that avoids bias and reveals meaningful insights.
What advice would you give to an incoming MBA?
Say yes early, network intentionally, and don’t be afraid to explore outside your comfort zone. This is the time to try things you never thought you would!
What activities were you involved with on or off campus, and did your business education impact those activities in any way?
I was on the executive board of the Marketing Club and was involved in several networking events on campus. My business education directly shaped these experiences by giving me the analytical tools and strategic mindset to contribute meaningfully.
Concepts from my classes came to life in real time, whether I was evaluating consumer insights or collaborating with peers on a marketing strategy. It made every activity feel more intentional and impactful.
What is something unexpected you learned about Scheller College during your time as a student?
I was surprised by how genuinely supportive and close-knit the Scheller community is. I expected a strong academic environment, but I didn’t expect classmates, faculty, and staff to be so willing to help, encourage, and guide one another. The culture here isn’t just collaborative – it’s deeply personal. That sense of community became one of my favorite parts of the program.
What’s been your favorite memory so far at Scheller?
The friends I have made and all the sporting events we have been to together are among my favorite memories. I love the school family we have created that will lead to life-long friendships.
What is the biggest lesson you gained from your Scheller MBA?
The biggest lesson I gained was that the ability to learn quickly and adapt is more valuable than having all the answers.
Who would you like to thank most for your success?
I’d like to thank my family. They supported me through every late night, deadline, and big decision. I couldn’t have done this without them!
