Hometown: Bangkok, Thailand
What is something on your bucket list?
Something on my bucket list that I’ll hopefully check off soon is to visit Georgia’s wine country and try some wine. I recently got into wine after living in the Bay Area for a few years. Lately, I've been loving reds, particularly Zinfandels.
What’s a favorite place you’ve traveled to and why?
Madrid, Spain. I love how easy it is to travel around without knowing the language, how friendly everyone is, the food and history.
What is a favorite family tradition?
Sunday brunch at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in Bangkok. We go every year (or whenever I'm back in Bangkok) to feast on their buffet and listen to live jazz music.
What is your proudest accomplishment?
My proudest accomplishment is pivoting to a role in supply chain because I was very interested in the field despite having no direct experience or background. I overcame my initial sense of intimidation and joined Tesla's supply chain team where I was able to make an impact on key strategic sourcing initiatives.
What is the hardest thing you’ve ever done?
I hiked to Everest base camp. It was a two-week long expedition where I climbed ~8,500 ft in the winter. It was physically and mentally challenging. I trained for six months for this expedition.
Your latest book recommendation:
“Pachinko” by Min Jin Lee. You're going to need a tissue box nearby! Pachinko is a novel about the survival of a Korean woman in Japan in the 1900s.
What is your favorite Atlanta restaurant?
I only recently moved to Atlanta, so I have not had that much time to explore the Atlanta food scene. So far, the best meal I've had has been at Delbar, a Middle Eastern restaurant. The restaurant was so chic and great for a family-style meal. My favorite dish was the stuffed branzino.
What is your favorite comfort food or family recipe?
Yen ta fo or "pink noodle soup" is a Thai street food made from fermented tofu and has seafood toppings. The soup is a bright pink. It's spicy and sour, and my to-go meal every time I visit home. This past visit back to Bangkok I had yen ta fo for lunch every day for five straight days.
Why did you want to come to Scheller?
I want to specialize in a niche space in supply chain, human rights and responsible sourcing, incorporating sustainability, social governance, and regulatory compliance into my work.
Scheller has a strong supply chain and operations, and sustainable business program, where I'm hoping to learn about best business practices and evolving research in the sustainable business space. Scheller's project based learning and close-knit community are also key factors as to why I decided to attend Scheller.
