What is something on your bucket list?
Seeing the Northern Lights is the number one thing on my bucket list right now.
What is a favorite family tradition?
I have great memories of the family getting together for Thanksgiving. We always have a great meal, the kids play, and we watch football together.
What is your proudest accomplishment?
As a professional or academic accomplishment, I would probably say it is graduating from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. Like most military academy experiences there were many grueling days, long nights, and early mornings. Many of those early mornings brought thoughts of quitting to find an easier route. But I knew I would regret taking the easy route, so I decided to persevere. The adversity made me stronger mentally, physically, and spiritually and enabled me to forge life-long bonds of friendship with my classmates.
Why did you come to Scheller?
Scheller College of Business has emerged as a leader in a crowded landscape of institutions offering business education, and the Evening MBA program is rated among the top programs in the nation in multiple categories. It is well-known for producing skilled and knowledgeable leaders in the areas of Information Technology, Business Analytics, and Operations. These are all reasons I believe Scheller will set me on the path to advance and future proof my career by enabling me to build my business acumen, critical thinking, communication skills, and professional network.
During my career I have gained valuable experience in leadership, operations, financial management, problem solving, relationship building, and more. However, the business world is ever-changing, and I believe an MBA will give me the knowledge, skills and tools I will need to keep up with these changes and to find innovative solutions to the complex problems faced by businesses today.
