Scheller College of Business Dean Maryam Alavi recently discussed shifts she’s seen in students entering business programs today.

“The new generation of students tends to be very good at using personal technology and adept in acquiring and accessing information in self-directed ways either by using the web or through crowd sourcing the information they need,” she said in the March 2019 issue of Delta Air Line’s Sky magazine.

Alavi also highlights ways business schools can meet the varying needs of this new wave of business school students and industries they will serve, including placing an emphasis on entrepreneurship and the need to capture innovation.
