Georgia Tech Scheller Executive MBA Revises Curriculum, Adds Electives

The Georgia Tech Scheller College of Business is rolling out Executive MBA curriculum changes designed to better cultivate leaders for a tech-driven world. After analyzing feedback from alumni about their program experience and evaluating the learning needs of today’s business leaders, the following improvements have been made:

  • Elective opportunities will be available during the summer and final fall semesters in areas such as cybersecurity, fintech, and global currencies, tech strategy, global product and brand management, and more
  • There will be an increased focus on leadership and strategy within the curriculum
A dedicated Executive MBA curriculum revision task force created recommendations for changes to the program experience. The faculty of the College unanimously approved the task force’s recommendations earlier this year. The curriculum changes will be rolled out for the Fall 2022 Executive MBA cohort.

“Scheller is always looking for ways to improve the education we offer at the intersection of business and technology. This curriculum revision has increased the relevancy and customizability of our Executive MBA program,” said Trent Thurman, Associate Dean of the Executive MBA program. “We feel confident these changes will open up new doors of learning and opportunity for our students.”
