Poets and Quants for Executives Names Two Executive MBA Grads to its 100 Best and Brightest for 2019

One completed two half-ironman triathlons and one publishes papers on neuroscience and how the brain develops in teenagers. Jacob Gelbaum and Rebecca J. Von Der Heide, respectively, are two of the nation’s Executive MBA graduates to receive accolades as Poets & Quants for Executives “100 Best and Brightest Executive MBAs for the Class of 2019.”

Jacob, a Scheller College EMBA alumnus (MBA ’18) and a Georgia Tech undergraduate alumnus with a degree in International Affairs from Ivan Allen School of Liberal Arts, currently works at Anthem as  IT Strategy and Program Director. Rebecca, a Scheller College EMBA alumna (MBA ‘18), gained her Ph.D. in neuroscience from Penn State, her MA in General Experimental Psychology from the University of Massachusetts, and her undergraduate degree in Psychology and German from Rutgers University. She is Senior Research Scientist at Amazon.com, Inc.

“I can easily say that I wouldn't have gotten the job at Anthem without the Scheller MBA” said Gelbaum.

Von Der Heide agrees. “The knowledge I gained from the EMBA coursework has been critical to my success. However, even more critical has been the above-and-beyond level of knowledge and support from EMBA faculty, staff, and classmates.”

Poets & Quants for Executives’ editors chose from hundreds of applicants for their Best and Brightest Executive MBAs each year. Read the full article here.
