Work at Tech? Earn your MBA through the Tuition Assistance Program

Georgia Tech employees can earn their MBA while employed at Tech using their TAP (Tuition Assistance Program) employee benefit. Though many are not aware of the program, this special education benefit provides tuition waivers for full-time Georgia Tech employees who have successfully completed at least six months of employment in a full-time, benefits eligible position.

Eligible employees can enroll in up to nine semester hours of classes each semester while pursuing their MBA. In order to receive the waiver of tuition and mandatory fees, employees must first complete a TAP application and enroll during the designated employee registration period.

The MBA most preferred by employees (and TAP approved) is Scheller College of Business’ Evening MBA program. Evening MBA classes meet one time each week and are offered Monday through Thursday, allowing employees to attain their MBA without interrupting their careers. The program combines a comprehensive and customizable curriculum with the flexibility to complete the program at the employee’s own pace.

Georgia Tech’s MBA programs consistently rank among the best in the country. The most recent accolades include ranking #4 for job placement and #4 in student satisfaction by Bloomberg Businessweek. US News and World Report currently lists Georgia Tech’s Evening MBA among the Top 25 in the nation.

Katie Lloyd, executive director of recruiting and admissions for the Evening MBA program states, “The Evening MBA is a versatile degree for individuals from all academic and professional backgrounds. Whether you are an engineer managing projects and leading teams, a finance or marketing professional hoping to advance, or someone who would like to make a career pivot, the Evening MBA gives you the tools you need to excel in your chosen field.”
