Georgia Tech MBA Students Win Deloitte Supply Chain Challenge

MBA students from Georgia Tech Scheller College of Business recently placed first in the second annual Deloitte Supply Chain Challenge, winning a $7,000 prize.

Held the University of Tennessee-Knoxville, the competition presented participating teams with mock companies facing various challenges. The teams were charged with addressing those issues while maximizing company profitability.

Deloitte executives determined the strongest action plans.

Georgia Tech’s team included MBA students Nathan Andrews, Jean-Baptiste Bouqet, Thomas Paris, and Lauren Wagner. Manpreet Hora, assistant professor of operations management, served as the faculty advisor for Tech’s team.

Other participating teams came from Carnegie Mellon University, Pennsylvania State University, Rutgers University, Michigan State University, Arizona State University, and Brigham Young University.

Because Georgia Tech won this year, Scheller College will be invited to host the 2016 final round of the competition.
