Scheller College Hosts 2015 National Diversity MBA Summit

The aim of the MBA Diversity Summit is for the business leaders of tomorrow to reflect the diverse populations of today.

The third annual summit, planned from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., August 1, 2015 at the Scheller College of Business, is designed to connect underrepresented minorities, women, and LGBTQ students with resources to successfully apply to business school. However, all prospective MBA applicants who plan to apply to business school are welcome to attend.

“We’re proud to host the 2015 National Diversity MBA Summit. Diversity in all of its forms is one of Georgia Tech’s highest priorities. We’re committed to attaining diversity in the business community and it starts with diversity in education,” says Paula Wilson, director of MBA admissions at Scheller. “The summit will provide tools for MBA candidates representing a variety of populations who will go on to drive productivity, innovation, and leadership in business.”

Admissions directors from many of the nation’s top business schools will be present to engage with potential MBA students about business school admissions and help ensure a successful application. The day's events will include:

  • Opportunities to network with admissions officers and other talented MBA candidates from across the country.

  • Small group talks led by experts on MBA admissions about how to craft the perfect application.

  • Panels and discussions about the importance of (and barriers to) attaining true diversity in business school.

  • School expo with admissions representatives.
